Second hearing scheduled for HB2184!

HB2184 has been scheduled for a hearing in the House Consumer Protection and Commerce committee on Wednesday 2/14/2018 at 2:00pm in Room 329: https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2018/hearingnotices/HEARING_CPC_02-14-18_.HTM. We have until 2pm 2/13/2018 to submit written testimony and have it be considered on time. Any testimony submitted after 2pm on 2/13 will be marked late and will be uploaded after the hearing. Testimony submitted after the hearing will not be considered or published. Here are the different ways you can submit testimony:

  1. You can create an account or sign in to your existing account at the capitol website www.capitol.hawaii.gov. From there you can click on the button that says "Submit Testimony". On that page you have the option to simply click on support, and/or add comments. This is the preferred way to submit testimony.

  2. You can fax your testimony, 5 pages or less, 808-586-6221 (Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859.

  3. You can email your testimony to the Health and Human Services committee: CPCtestimony@capitol.hawaii.gov

When you submit your testimony make sure to indicate if you will be able to be at the hearing to testify in person. Your legislators hear from you, especially constituents from neighbor islands. If you travel from a neighbor island, they will make every effort to make sure your testimony is heard.

Even just clicking on "Support" and writing one or two sentences on why you support this bill helps the legislators hear your voice.
