Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) Permanently Dissolves

The Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) announced on March 1, 2024 that they have permanently dissolved. MANA strengthened midwifery throughout North America through their long history of working towards solidarity in midwifery, inclusive community building, endorsement of the Midwives Model of Care as the gold standard for childbirth, creation of midwife attended births database for research, and the development of what would become the certified professional midwife (CPM), in addition to many other accomplishments as an organization. We celebrate the numerous contributions MANA provided for the progress and expansion of midwifery within North America.
